Portugal’s Minister of Finance Vítor Gaspar has stated that last year’s deficit, at 5% of the GDP, is in line with the goal set by the troika, leaving only a doubt as to whether the Eurostat will accept the ANA Aeroportos sale as accountable for the deficit calculation.
Vítor Gaspar said: “The preliminary data we have points to a deficit of €8.3 billion, which is around €700 million below the quantitative limit.”
