Defamation case

FOUR SOCIAL Democrats (PSD) were in court last week accused of making defamatory statements in 2002 about socialist Câmara President, Júlio Barroso.

Former Lagos Câmara President, Valentim Rosado, admitted to sending out a letter in June 2002, when the opposition took office, which implied that Barroso paid his way to the top. Rosado said he and three members of the PSD did not mean to offend anyone. The case continues.
