AFTER ITS outstanding success in Lisbon, Deckchairs, three short plays from the series by Jean McConnell, will be performed at the Escola Internacional São Lourenço tonight (April 15) at 7pm. Amanda Booth and Celia Williams, directed by Jon Pedersen, take on the challenge of creating the range of characters that appear in these highly entertaining two-women pieces. From the two eccentric dog owners and their dogs (who also star in the piece), to the grieving widow confronted by a strange woman with a terrible secret and, finally, the two Liverpool ladies who wittily dissect their Latin American dance classes and the inadequacies of their male dancing partners, these three pieces provide a hugely enjoyable evening of theatre.
