A BABY white whale was found dead on Carneiros beach near Ferragudo on April 2. The mammal measured four-and-a-half metres and was found at approximately 12pm.
Staff at the beach restaurant, Rei das Praias, told The Resident that the whale had died before being washed ashore. “The animal was a bit smelly, but it was removed quickly by the maritime police,” said a waiter from the restaurant.
