Two turtles were found dead at about 6pm on May 8 in the Barrinha area of the coast at Praia de Faro.
One measured about one metre and did not show any signs of a predator attack and the other, measuring about 50 centimetres, had body parts missing.
The Maritime Police are investigating the case.
