A man in his 30s has been found dead on the side of the EN125 road in Cacela, Vila Real de Santo António.
Correio da Manhã tabloid says the man often wandered along the road and is said to have suffered from drug addiction and mental health issues.
His body, which showed no signs of having been run over, was found on Monday at around 9.30pm near the ‘O Alpendre’ restaurant.
An autopsy is due to take place.
