A dead dolphin was found on Portimão’s Praia do Vau on Wednesday morning, just one day after a 10-metre mink whale washed up on Praia da Rocha (click here).
The carcass, which was already decomposing, was found at around 10.15am with signs of injury.
It was removed by authorities and taken to the Western Algarve’s landfill in Portimão.
The two mammals are believed to have been dragged to shore due to Depression Bárbara, which battered Portugal on Tuesday.
