Former BES boss loses final appeal against €3.7 million fine

DCIAP to move forwards with criminal charges over BES collapse over five years ago

Criminal charges against former BES boss Ricardo Salgado and 33 others cited in the BES/ GES ‘investigation’ are expected to be formalised by DCIAP – the department of criminal investigation and penal action – “between April and June”.

The Public Ministry’s case already has “more than 5000 pages”, say reports. Official charges are thus coming almost six years since the bank ‘collapsed’ with devastating consequences for large and small investors.
