Silves Câmara is to sign a promissory contract with the state-owned road company Estradas de Portugal (EP), to buy a piece of land along the EN125 in Pêra for the construction of a social and parochial day centre in the parish.
According to Silves Câmara, the land costs 5,500 euros and the project for the new centre is in its final phase of analysis, which should soon be approved.
The new centre will have several facilities including a day centre for the elderly and a crèche.
