Data centre operator to invest €10M in 2024

Gigas CEO and co-founder Diego Cabezudo says the group expects to invest “around €10 million” in Portugal next year. “We’ve already invested more than €20 million [in Oni],” and now “€3 million are being invested” in the expansion of the Matinha data centre in Lisbon, he told journalists. “We’re going to invest another €2 million” in the Lisbon data centre and another “€7 to €8 million” in the network next year, for a total of “around €10 million”, he added. Oni currently has “just over 200 employees”, and two data centres, one in Lisbon, the other in Porto.
