Music || American musician Darlyne Cain is visiting the Eastern Algarve for three weeks and a number of performances have been organised.
She will be performing at Herdade da Corte, near Tavira, on Sunday June 1 at 6.30pm (entrance fee €3) and at Pessoa’s Café in Tavira on Saturday June 7 at 7.30pm.
Darlyne is from South Carolina and gained a BA in music from Wintrhop University in Rock Hill where she studied classical piano and guitar. Eager to explore her musical potential, she bought a one-way ticket to Europe where she played Irish Harp on the street.
She is a full time musician, teaching piano and guitar, playing in clubs and cruise ships, writing and performing pop, Americana, bluegrass, blues, celtic music, R & B, funk, gospel, jazz, reggae and Latin music. She has recorded four CDs of original music.
