The seventh International Dance Competition of the Algarve, Dançarte, will be held at the Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, on April 9 and 10.
The event is organised by dance association Beliaev Centro Cultural, BCC, and is supported by Faro Câmara and Faro Municipal Theatre.
Dançarte is the national qualifying competition for the Dance World Cup, which will take place in Sardinia, Italy, from June 29 to July 4. The event is aimed at young dancers who will compete in classical dance, contemporary dance and character dance.
Seventeen Portuguese schools and one team from the Netherlands have entered the event, which starts at 9.30am on both days.
