More than 50 people attended a Valentine’s Dance organised by the Silves Dance Club at the Hotel Colina dos Mouros in Silves.
A raffle was held after dinner, with the money raised, €68, being given to the Refúgio dos Burros animal sanctuary in Estômbar.
A surprise birthday cake was given to musician Just John, who was playing on the evening and took the opportunity to announce his new CD, which will be released during a party on March 25 at O Nascer do Sol in Portimão.

The club’s next dance will be at the Hotel Colina dos Mouros on Tuesday, March 13, at 8pm, costing €5 to enter.
A Tea Dance will then be held on May 27 to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, also at the Silves hotel at 2pm, and on June 12, a Hog Roast will be held at the home of a member from 7.30pm.
