Singer Dame Julie Andrews is set to appear on stage for the first time in 30 years.
The Sound of Music star will perform her famous hits from the stage and screen at London’s O2 arena on May 8.
In An Evening with Julie Andrews, she will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and five fellow performers for the one-off musical extravaganza.
She will also narrate children’s book Simeon’s Gift, which she wrote with her daughter.
Music from recent films such as the Shrek series of films and The Princess Diaries will also be included in the concert.
Fans of Dame Julie will be thrilled as she has rarely sung in public since 1997 when surgery on her throat damaged her soprano voice.
The star has supported the development of pioneering treatment which could improve the condition of damaged vocal chords.
