In a week where metro trains are reported to be without emergency brakes, and an easyJet plane aborted take-off on a flight to London, we hear that cyclists too have seen better days. A 34-year-old two-wheel enthusiast was hauled over by PSP police in Venteira, Amadora, after the officers “realised he was zig-zagging” suspiciously. A blow in the bag found him to have a near record level of alcohol in his blood (3.61 gr/litre) and he has now been remanded pending court charges.
