Around 100 cyclists of all nationalities participated in a protest along the EN125 last Sunday to fight against the A22 tolls.
Organised by the Comissão Utentes Via Infante (CUVI), the A22 users’ commission, the protest took the motto “pedal against the unjust imposition of tolls on the Via do Infante”. The protest was closely followed by the GNR, who ensured the safety of participants, aged from five to 75, as well as drivers on the EN125.
The CUVI says it will continue to fight the tolls and the government’s determination to ignore the Algarve’s economic reality.
