Monchique Câmara’s president has said that refurbishment works including a small car park in Foia, the Algarve’s highest peak, could be finished in time for the 35th Algarve cycle tour.
The work was due to be completed by the beginning of March but is being accelerated to accommodate the sporting event.
Carlos Tuta said that he was keen for the cycle tour, taking place between February 18 and 22, to include a section in his council..
