A range of recycled and refurbished cushions is now on sale to help raise funds for animal spaying and neutering initiatives in the Algarve.
Volunteer Verna Kinder, who is behind the idea, said: “Ever conscious of the need to help reduce the numbers of unwanted puppies and kittens, I racked my brains to think ofsomething completely different to raise funds. The idea that came to mind was to re-cycle and refurbish cushions.”
All the cushions come complete with inserts and some have been embellished with traditional Portuguese crochet. Each customised cushion is unique and the stock is constantly changing, giving you the opportunity to update your home or rental property while supporting a good cause.
Cushions, which range in price from €3 to €8, are being stocked at Bedspreads Factory Outlet on the EN125 in Lagoa next to Cepsa petrol station, and also at the Refugio dos Burros Charity Shop in Carvoeiro.
All proceeds are paid directly to the vet to pay for spaying and neutering.
