Curfew for man in Cascais rape enquiry

A MAN under investigation in connection with three rapes in the Cascais region, which allegedly took place during the months of February and April of this year, has been ordered to report regularly to his local police station and to remain at home during the hours of darkness. Cascais magistrates made the order after the 38-year-old man was arrested by the Lisbon Polícia Judiciária. Each of the alleged assaults took place in isolated country areas, the victim being threatened with a knife.
