Faro Câmara President Macário Correia expressed his disappointment at the Portuguese football league management committee’s decision to move the annual League Cup final from the Stadium of the Algarve.
“I think it is strange as we had an agreement with the previous league President as to the game’s continuing organisation,” he said.
Coimbra will be the new venue for the highlight of the competition, now known as the Bwin Cup, over the next three seasons in a four million Euro sponsorship deal.
