Cup action

Portimonense football club will enter Portuguese FA Cup action by entertaining third division Cinfães at Parchal’s Bela Vista stadium on

Sunday afternoon.

The game should serve as a warm-up following the international break ahead of the eagerly awaited clash with Benfica scheduled for the Stadium of the Algarve next weekend.

Tickets for that Liga Sagres match, which have already gone on sale, are priced between 15 and 35 euros.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that the improvements to Portimão’s own city centre stadium will now not be finished until January marking the game against Vitoria de Setubal on the ninth of that month as the likely date for a return home.
