CUF to buy-up AtlantiCare clinic network

The Competitions Authority is not opposing the purchase of the AtlantiCare network of private health clinics by the CUF chain, which means the Algarve will finally get a CUF outlet of its own. So far, the price paid by CUF for the clinics, in Faro, Évora, Coimbra, Castelo Branco, Bragança, Braga, Beja, Aveiro, Viseu, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Setúbal, Santarém, Porto, Lisbon, Leiria, Guarda and the Azores, is unknown, but it underscores the fact that as State healthcare appears to diminish in terms of availability, private alternatives certainly do not.
