Ministry for Health Paulo Macedo has confirmed that Cuban doctors who have left the health service for professional reasons (usually related to salary payments) will be substituted by new Cuban doctors, as part of a protocol celebrated with Cuba since 2009. The news comes as newspapers report on an increasing number of doctors who come over and then leave the state health service for jobs in the private sector.
