Castro said to be recovering
A state controlled newspaper published the first pictures of Fidel Castro, on his 80th birthday, since his intestinal surgery a few weeks ago. Castro handed over temporary control of the country to his brother, Raul, who made his first public appearance since taking over when he welcomed Venezuela’s President, Chavez, earlier this week.
