The glorious ‘tax haven’ that Portugal has become for crypto millionaires (and billionaires) is in the process of being painstakingly dismantled by finance minister Fernando Medina. According to Público, he is working on a legislative proposal. Crypto-currency gains are already taxed in other countries, said Medina. “We are going to adapt our legislation and taxation”, he affirmed, though no dates have yet been mentioned.
