Portimão port will be receiving two luxury ships today (Friday) transporting more than 900 passengers.
Luxury sail boat Wind Spirit will stop in Portimão with a total of 148 passengers and 88 crew before continuing on its journey towards Lanzarote.
Cruise liner Prinsedam will also be arriving today with 793 tourists and 428 staff before continuing on its journey to Lisbon.
According to Portimão Câmara, the two ships are now able to arrive simultaneously due to the placement of three new defences.
