Crucial evidence

A man in Holland, who stole a packet of meat from a supermarket, left a vital piece of evidence at the scene – his son.

In his hurry to leave the shop, the 45-year-old thief ran to his car with a supermarket worker hot on his heels. Despite the staff member’s efforts, the man got away but police managed to contact the thief via the boy. The father refused to return and collect his son, and told officers to get hold of the youngster’s mother instead. The thief later turned himself in.
