Brothers John and Stuart Greenwood were on top form this week at the Amendoeira Bowls Club, with John coming out on top in a competition on January 25.
John Greenwood beat Peter Cain in the quarter finals and David Wood in the semi final while a brother versus brother final was avoided as Peter Balfour beat Stuart Greenwood in their semi final.
Peter Balfour, a first time player at the Amendoeira crown green, went on to lose 11-4 to John Greenwood in the final.
Weekly competitions for both crown green and lawn bowls are held at the Amendoeira Bowls Club near Alcantarilha and cost five euros to enter.
