Brands || Algarve-based design and communications agency Crochet, specialising in the development of brand images for companies, has just celebrated its first year anniversary.
Launched in May 2013 by Helder Encarnação, 35, of Portimão, and his working partner Débora Lavareda, 31, the agency has been working to help clients attract their target audiences and establish “productive and long-term relationships”.
“Because we are located in the Algarve, people tend to think we only work in the area of tourism. But all companies, all brands, all projects and all ideas are welcome, no matter their sector,” Helder Encarnação told the Resident.
He explained that the agency – a member of the British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and partner of the regional entrepreneurial services association (SEA) – came together as a result of a fusion between Débora and Helder’s previous companies, Insignia Design and Orangelove.
“We had already worked together a couple of months before we launched the agency on a project of Débora’s. We met on a weekly basis, shared a lot of similar ideas, and eventually realised that the best thing to do would be to join our two companies,” Helder explained.
Available to work with both Portuguese and foreign clients, Crochet has already begun to expand. With clients all around Portugal and even abroad, Helder revealed that the “internet has been a big help” and that the two partners are considering opening an office in Lisbon early next year.
For now, Crochet has offices in Portimão and Lagoa.
