Cristiano Ronaldo in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19

Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for Covid-19 and is in isolation. The footballing legend is asymptomatic, and ‘feeling fine’ but his condition means he cannot play in the Nations League match between Portugal and Sweden tomorrow.

His positive test result follows fellow players Mário Rui and Anthony Lopes also ‘knocked out by Covid’.

The rest of the ‘team’ playing in tomorrow’s game has tested negative.

Kick off at Alvalade stadium in Lisbon is scheduled for 7.45pm.
