Cristiano Ronaldo rules out return to European football

Portuguese footballing legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been playing for Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia since January, has said that any return to European football is a “completely closed door” for him. The 38-year-old was talking to reporters yesterday after a match at the Algarve Stadium between Al Nassr and Celta de Vigo of Spain – which the latter won 5-0 – in what was the opening game of the Algarve Trophy. “The way I see it, Europe has lost a lot of quality,” said Ronaldo.
