Criminal cases against Ricardo Salgado and Armando Vara already ‘distributed to bench’

Considering the years it took to get an instructory decision on the Marquês case, involving former prime minister José Sócrates (click here), it has taken ‘no time at all’ to distribute the cases to judges for the few defendants sent to trial. Say reports today, the ‘judgements’ of former banker Ricardo Salgado and former bank boss/ politician Armando Vara have already been sent to a collective of magistrates in the criminal courts of Lisbon. It’s the same collective that judge the ‘Golden Visas’ case (which ended with more acquittals than condemnations click here)
