My wife and I are in our 60s and visit the town twice per year. Recent reports back here in Scotland about the muggings and the murder are quite worrying.
We both love the region and would hate to stop coming, but I read the report from the police about the drop in the crime rate and that helps settle us down a bit, but also read of a man catching a gang of muggers and then them being let off.
Why do the police not charge them?
