Crime prevention seminar in Lagos

Following the well-attended Crime Prevention Seminar held by Safe Communities Algarve and GNR Faro in São Brás in July, another seminar is now planned for Lagos.

The event in English will take place on Wednesday September 26 from 4pm to 6pm at the Centro Cultural de Lagos.

This time the organisation will be by Safe Communities Algarve, the Portimão GNR Unit and the Portimão PSP Unit.

The seminar is aimed at promoting safer communities through crime prevention and will include the work being developed by three entities, including the GNR’s Safe Residence Programme. A presentation by the British Consulate and the Night Guards Association (ASPGN) will also be held.

This will be the first occasion that these five organisations have come together at a single event to share their experiences with the public, as well as providing a unique opportunity for questions and answers on matters of interest to the public.

The full programme and details of presenters will be published in due course together with registration details. Other crime prevention seminars are also planned during October in other parts of the Algarve.
