Dear Editor,
I was recently a victim of crime whilst taking a short break in the coastal town of Tavira.
I was attacked and robbed by three males whilst walking home. As a result of the attack, I had my nose broken and sustained numerous injuries from being punched and kicked whilst on the ground.
I had my wallet stolen which contained roughly £150 and €50, including the usual credit cards, etc.
They also tried to rip my watch from my wrist but thankfully failed, unfortunately causing injuries to my arm in the process.
I am a serving Police officer in London and a frequent visitor to the area surrounding Tavira but will certainly take more care in future when visiting.
