Plans for the construction of a crematorium in Albufeira were approved by the Municipal Assembly on February 16.
According to the project submitted by the Câmara, the crematorium will be situated in the new municipal cemetery in Brejos, Montechoro area.
A public tender for the conception, construction and management of the facility is expected to be launched in March, said a Câmara source.
