A creche in Santa Bábara de Nexe was closed on Monday after a two-year-old boy tested positive for Covid-19.
Say reports, the child was infected by his mother.
Both are ‘recovering’ at home without apparent complications, while all the other children and creche staff at A Joaninha have been tested.
The creche will stay closed until health authorities deem it safe to reopen.
Creches reopened nationally on May 18, but this one appears only to have been open since June 1.
