Creation of APMA approved; SEF inspectors call off strike

The Council of Ministers has approved the creation of APMA (the Portuguese agency for minorities, migrations and asylum) adding that inspectors of (now extinct) SEF (borders and foreigners agency) will continue to work alongside police at airports and sea and land borders for the next two years. Over that time, they will slowly be absorbed into the PJ police service. As a result of the decision, a strike called over Easter has been cancelled.
