A US-based website has unveiled this year’s top 10 list of stupid Christmas gifts, which includes an underwear repair kit and a Barack Obama “Yes, We Can” can opener.
Gary Apple, founder of web site Stupid.com, which claims finding a truly stupid gift is an art form, said: “2008 might have been a bad year for the economy, but it was a great year for stupidity.
“Weird products seemed to come out of the woodwork this year. There was almost too much stupidity to choose from!”
Last year the list featured a Hillary Clinton nutcracker, a Mother Teresa breath spray, and portable mistletoe with a suction cup to attach to your forehead.
Top of this year’s list is a screaming chicken, marketed as the world’s most annoying toy, which doesn’t squeak or squawk but screams.
