PJ police bosses have lost one of their top investigators as he is just too good to keep in Portugal. Releasing Pedro Felício for a five-year-stint at Europol.
Justice Minister Paula Teixeira said it was “in the public interest” that he should start investigating economic crimes in The Hague – even though the PJ will be the poorer. Felício had been running the PJ’s antiterrorism unit and has a string of ‘good arrests’ under his belt – including the case of serial killer Rei Ghob, currently serving 25 years in jail for the murder of four young Portuguese.
