CR7 helps children in Nepal with “€7 million”

Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is reported to have donated €7 million to ‘Save the Children’, an international NGO that has been providing assistance to children in Nepal affected by the recent deadly earthquake.

Although the news is unconfirmed, national media suggests that Ronaldo prefers to keep a low profile when helping charities.

What’s known for sure is that the footballer used his Facebook page on April 28 to ask fans to “support Save the Children’s relief efforts”.

Nepal was struck by a huge earthquake on April 25, leaving thousands dead and millions homeless.

According to the latest toll, nearly 8,000 people are believed to have died.
