Fans come for a last opportunity to see Ronaldo live in the region as Al Nassr faces Benfica tomorrow night at the Estádio do Algarve.
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently the centre of attention in the Algarve. The Portuguese player played his first game of the season for Al Nassr on July 10 in Albufeira, attracting thousands of foreigners to the region.
Although CR7’s career already spans 21 years, some of his fans have never seen him play live. Therefore, his visit to the Algarve is a unique opportunity for fans from all over the world to finally see him in the flesh.
Ronaldo only played half-time against Celta de Vigo this Monday, with the Spaniards winning 5-0. However, fans will get much more action from Ronaldo during his game against Benfica this Thursday, July 20. The football star revealed, at the end of Monday’s game, that against Benfica’s “Eagles”, he will be able to play “60 or 70 minutes” and that “little by little,” it will take shape.
Thursday is the last of four games the Saudi team will have played in the Algarve this summer. The first game was played on July 10 against FC Alverca at the Municipal Stadium in Albufeira. The second game took place last Friday when Al Nassr played Farense at the Estádio do Algarve.
Following last Friday’s match, which Al Nassr won by 5-0, Ronaldo revealed to journalists that his new team was enjoying its stay in the region. “The Algarve is a beautiful place. They are enjoying it a lot”, he said.
Tomorrow’s game starts at 20:30 at the Estádio do Algarve.
