Covid vaccinations for children from age of 5-11: EMA to pronounce on Wednesday

Following yesterday’s meeting of experts at Infarmed, the prospect of Portugal rolling out Covid vaccines in children is looking increasingly likely. SIC television news today refers to experts seeing this as “a priority”. EMA (Europe’s medicines agency) is “evaluating the situation and should pronounce on Wednesday”. SIC adds it is not yet clear what effects SARS-CoV-2 infection could have long-term on children’s bodies but expert Henrique Barros “guarantees the illness can also affect children”.
