Covid-19 tests now required for passengers from China

Portugal has started carrying out “random but mandatory” tests for Covid-19 on travellers from China. At the same time, any passengers leaving China will have to present a negative test, taken up to 48-hours previously, before boarding their flight. Portugal has thus joined the UK, Austria, Germany, Sweden and Belgium in reimposing Covid checks due to the high number of cases sweeping through China since it ‘relaxed’ its draconian (and failed) policy of ‘Zero Covid’.
