Covid-19: isolation period drops from seven days to five

One of the first soundbites to come out of today’s Council of Ministers is that people infected with Covid-19 will no longer have to spend seven days in isolation. They will be able to pick up their daily routines after five days. The new rule will come into effect once it has been published in State gazette Diário da República. Minister for the Presidency Mariana Vieira da Silva has suggested the need for incoming travellers to present Covid Digital Certificates will also be dropped.
