Covid-19: gloomy forecasting and vaccine promotion return

A new study promoted by Portugal’s DGS health authority and public health institute Ricardo Jorge has predicted a) an increase in cases of SARS-CoV-2 over the autumn/ winter b) the beneficial results of ‘reinforced’ vaccination on Omicron subtypes BA.2 and BA.5. The study maintains that a booster shot “continues to substantially reduce the most serious consequences of illness” if people are to contract either… Curiously, the study appears to have been undertaken using current vaccines, which have already been proved to be ‘at end of life’ in terms of giving people protection.
