Courts reopen today with packed agenda… and strikes

Portugal’s creaking court system ‘reopened’ today, after a six-week holiday, with a long-list of high profile, long-standing criminal processes still awaiting actions and decisions. As always a number of crimes, particularly involving corruption, stand in danger of ‘lapsing’ due to the time it has taken to get them ‘heard’.
