Countdown to Dynamite Fight Night (competition winners announced!)

The Resident would like to congratulate Júlia Alves (Lagoa), Mónica Duarte Gonçalves (Portimão), Harald Heil (Vila Nova de Cacela), Diogo Fernandes (Portimão) and Ricardo Manuel (Portimão), who have all won double tickets for the block-busting Dynamite Fight Night, taking place this Saturday (February 7) at Pavilhão Arade in Parchal.

All five correctly answered that António “Animal” Sousa is the Portuguese fighter who will be taking part in this 28th edition of the event, which promises an “epic battle between the best Portuguese and English fighters”.

In all DFN will feature six fights between fighters from the two countries.

Marina Zueva, “princess” of Portugal’s female kickboxing will be taking on South London fighter Grace Spicer; António ‘Animal’ Sousa will face David Sa, a member of the Fight for Peace movement; Ricardo ‘Superman’ Fernandes comes up against James Gridley; Jamie Whelan will attempt to bring down the ‘Messines pit-bull’, Rui Breceno; Miguel ‘Mr Kick’ Varela faces Charlie ‘Boy’ Peters and finally Helder ‘The Prince’ Victor and Ashraf ‘The Pocket Rocket’ will battle it out to see which country brings home the title.

Speaking to the Resident, English fighters Grace Spicer and Charlie Peters have promised “a great show” and are hoping that fans will show up to cheer them on to victory.
