World Premiere week of Churchill The Musical is approaching, with Lagoa auditorium playing host to the musical between October 1 and October 8.
Word is spreading about the new musical and already the opening night is sold out while ticket sales for all performances are steadily coming in. Derek Ash, one of the writers of the musical, said: “This is a very human story about a very human man, who is still remembered for his great wit and wisdom, and without whom the world would have been a very different place.”
He added: “There are about one hundred people involved in this “emotional roller coaster” production and their commitment is incredible”.
Although Portugal was neutral during WW2, the Portuguese helped hundreds of thousands of refugees escape from the Nazi regime which controlled the whole of Europe.
This is the first ever original Musical World Premiere staged in Portugal with West End and Broadway production standards.
