Countdown begins for Vilamoura Boat Show

Boating enthusiasts do not have to wait much longer for the 26th edition of the Vilamoura Marina International Boat Show, which will be held between June 10 and 18 at the prized Vilamoura Marina.

The event will bring together the main players of the boating industry and provide visitors with an opportunity to see the latest developments from the nautical sector.

Exhibitors include nautical companies selling new and semi-new (brokerage) boats as well as representatives from brands of accessories, equipment, and integrated services.

“This show, on land and in the sea, allows (visitors) to experience and test the boats in a practical and comfortable way. Visitors are welcomed in a personalised and friendly way in a natural environment that reflects a lifestyle,” Loulé Council says in a statement to the press.

Vilamoura Marina – the largest and most prestigious in the country – has the best conditions to host a nautical exhibition with boats in the water, in line with the best practices found in international markets”, says the organisation.

Held since 1997, the Vilamoura Marina International Boat Show is marketed as “a unique exhibition in Portugal’s nautical sector as well as a postcard of the unmistakable Algarve lifestyle.

The event is expected to attract buyers, investors, business partners, nautical enthusiasts, the media, sector regulators and the general public.

Over the years, the event has proven to be a great contributor to the local economy, boosting sectors such as hotels, restaurants, transport and services in general.

“The event attracts locals, foreign residents and tourists. As it will take place during a time of national holidays, visitor numbers are expected to increase,” organisers add.

In the last edition of the Vilamoura Boat Show, over 100 boats were exhibited by around 30 exhibitors in representation of over 50 brands. A total of 80,000 people visited the 2022 edition.
